Who we are

Why are we here?

We are a financial advisory firm regulated by the CNMV, founded by lay professionals from leading investment banks.

We advise wealth,
but not like everyone else.

We founded Altum Investment Guidelines to put what we know (economics, finance and wealth management) at the service of our clients, helping them to be coherent in the way they assume the concrete responsibilities of the evangelical management of their wealth.

What are we looking for?

Our goal is to provide investment solutions while seeking solid and stable growth of assets at minimum cost and to apply Catholic principles in each and every one of our investment decisions.

That there is no choice between profitability and integrity.

We are convinced that through investment it is also possible to bear witness, with parrhesia (with audacity and freedom), where the fruit, in addition to economic, promotes the full development of the person.

The Altum Team

Borja Barragán

Married and father of seven children, he has 19 years of experience in investment banking. He is very clear about his professional vocation: to put what he knows how to do (investment, economics and finance) at the service of the apostolate.

After working in investment banking in international entities (Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Royal Bank of Scotland and Goldman Sachs), he founded the first equity investment fund in Spain in Julius Baer that followed the Social Doctrine of the Church: Temperantia.

With a background in Business Administration and Management (ICADE), he expanded his training related to the world of faith-consistent investing:

Harvard University (Boston): Sustainable Finance & Investments Program.
Master’s Degree in Family Pastoral Care from the John Paul II Institute.
Social Doctrine of the Church at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas of Rome (Angelicum)
Management of endowments and institutional funds – IESE.

Today, he is the founder of Altum Faithful Investing, a financial advisory firm that follows the criteria of the magisterium of the Catholic Church in each and every one of its decisions.

Carlos Antón

Two characteristics that define Carlos are perseverance and integrity.

Carlos has decided to apply the analytical skills obtained during his undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI) to the financial world, taking the Master’s Degree in Stock Exchange and Financial Markets at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB), the Advanced Course in Sustainable Finance at the IEB and specializing in the use of Bloomberg for investment analysis (Bloomberg Market Concepts Program).
